It’s been confirmed, JJ Abrams will be directing the new Star Wars film after Disney bought the franchise.
According to reports, Lucasfilm Chief and Star Wars producer Kathleen Kennedy has been courting Abrams for months. In December Abrams revealed that he would rather be in the audience not knowing what the story will be about rather than leading the film.
Abrams has already done wonders to the Star Trek franchise giving it the reboot that it has need for a while.
There has been a positive response to the news of Abrams directing Star Wars Episode 7.
The plan is for Star Wars: Episode VII to hit theaters in 2015.
